Spark Plug Maintanence
Hello, I've had my 1995 camaro 3.8L v6 for 2 years. I have had oil changes regularly, Transmission fluid changed. Are there other maintenance things that should be done? I'm worried about my fuel filter, i don't really know what it is, but I've heard you should replace it once in a while. Is that true? how often? One more thing. Spark plugs - If i buy the plugs how many do I buy? 6? because of a v6? and If i were to buy them and a wire kit is that all I need to install them? thanks!

Getting down to where the spark plugs are is a pain in the Gen IV F-body. Despite have two cylinders less.
But it can be done.
It takes a lot of patience. Some spark plugs may be more accesible from under neath the vehicle.
When you swap plug wires. Do so one at a time, so that you do not confuse any and mis-wire your engine.
For your engine yes you need six. Normally your logic is correct, but there are exceptions, such as the 4 Cylinder Mazda/Ford Truck which had dual plugs per cylinder!!!
Go with a quality plug such as Bosch, AC Delco, or NGK.
My personal preferance is the Bosch Platinum Plus 4.
Plugs and wires are generally good for 100,000 miles.
The fuel filter should be replaced every 25,000 to 50,000 miles depending on your fuel needs (in your case - stock - the latter will be sufficient)
The fuel filter is a small cylindrical canister. Get one from the store and pull it out of the box to get an idea of what you should be looking for. Will be under the car on the left or right side. If its really stuck you may need a flare nut wrench to get them off without stripping.
Wear glasses, there may be a slight amount of fuel that will drip when you switch filters.

V6 = six cylinders = six spark plugs
Spark plug wires + spark plugs = good to go. Maybe some dielectric grease.
Other stuff...differential, coolant, PCV valve, etc.
IMO, don't waste your cash on the +2s or +4s. Invest that $$$ into a better pair of wires...with our cars, you will need them.
