Smoking need help new here!
Hey whats up guys? I gotta 95 camaro 3.4 V6 5-speed with 108,000 miles. Iv been having problems with it smoking since i bought it 3 years ago. Black smoke not real heavy but its really strong smelling and itl choke you out of the interior idoling. A lot of carbon buildup in the exhaust tips too. I replaced the plugs and wires last year. Checked the PCV valve and that was fine. Im at the point where i dont really know if its running rich or if the motor is going. Iv been looking in my Hayens manual for anything relating to smoking. Pretty much all i have come up with is that it might have an error somewhere in the emisions system. Also I checked my charcoal canister and found that one of the lines was cracked going into it i replaced it and then found that one of the lines had become disconected somewhere above the gas tank. I know that one line comes from the tank and another from the throttle body but where this third line is coming from idk. Any help is appreciated Thanks alot
on my 97 it looks like one of the EVAP lines goes to a little sensor (EVAP purge switch) on the passanger side of the motor... but that may what you are calling the second line as it looks like after it passes that sensor it then goes into the throttle body
