Question Smoke and Garlic smell??

hey guys, i have a 95 3.4L v6, i was driving down the interstate, at a higher speed then normal, i was in a hurry, i was going about 80 and my temp was fairly normal at about the half way mark, anyways, i started smelling something really nasty, then it smelt like garlic bread or something, later when i parked, smoke came out from under my hood and it came out around where the air conditioner stuff is. then later, when i drove my car at normal speed it was fine and it hasnt done it the rest of the day, what the heck is goin on?

Was it smoke or steam? Did you have your air conditioner on? My parents actually had steam come out of their vents in their Grand Prix. It had to do with the A/C condenser. It didn't smell though.

Not so sure now that you say the hose was wet. If the hose was leaking then you would smell anti-freeze but it doesnt smell like garlic it kinda smells sweet. If it was a hose leaking it would probably still leak and you car would start to get hot. Check all the hoses and clamps and look for more opinions on the board. Hope I could help.
