Should I Get Headers?

Hello Everyone, I Am Thinking Of Putting Headers In My 2001 Camaro V6. Do You Think Its Worth It? If So What Kind Should I Get? I Have Been Looking At The Pacesetters. I Am Confused About The Short Tubing And The Long Tubing, Which One Is Better?

Does Anyone Know How Many Horses It Will Add To My Car? Will I Feel A Difference In Power? I Need Help Guys, Please Respond Back To My Post. Any Information Is Greatly Appreciated.

Re: Should I Get Headers?

please, DO A SEARCH!!!!

everyone of your posts in recent history are ones that are easily searchable....

to answer your question, its up to you, how much money do u have to burn?? the general concensous (sp?) is that there's little gain over the tubular manifolds you have now, but, if you have $$$$ to waste, go ahead..

on a side note, are u writing in caps, how come every letter of ur 1st words are capitalized???

remember, search 1st, post later

Re: Should I Get Headers?

You obviously have no car knowledge, so you should not install headers.

Your car will explode.

Re: Should I Get Headers?

i wouldnts bother with headers at this point on your car, the money could be spent much more wisely, your car is equipped with tubular manifolds already so the gain from a set of headers wont be all that great

Re: Should I Get Headers?

So what other mods can I do? Since getting headers won't do much in horsepower increase what should I spend that money on instead? Any ideas anyone?

Later in the future I was thinking of getting a supercharger, what do you guys think?

get some nitrous, if u want bang for the buck but say supercharger is in the future, maybe nitrous is the way to go
otherwies, gears may help (3.73's)... LSD is a must if you dont have it...

BUT, before u ask anymore questions about what i just suggested, SEARCH.....

did i meantion SEARCH before you post

Re: Should I Get Headers?

Maybe not be the best short term gains, but if you're keeping the car for awhile and planning on supercharging it just do it. Pacesetter offers headers at decent prices, and in general their products are good, I'm assuming the V_6 headers aren't any different. Headers, cam, rockers, and gears.

Yes I am planning to keep this car forever so I really want to just fix it up. I was also looking at the pacesetters. Also thinking of getting cams aswell and the supercharger will probably be the last thing I'll do.

its cam, singular...
if you're doing a camshaft swap, do all new upper internals (roller rockers, push rods, etc.), especially if you are doing forced induction

Re: Should I Get Headers?

Sounds like your exhaust is pretty well taken care of already. I would save up for gears.
