RS problems!

hey everyone,

ive had my 96 RS for a little over a year now..and im havin a few probs with it..one..my power window on my driver side doesnt want to work so now its stuck open about 2 inches..my ABS INOP light is on..before i waste my time going to a shop..i would like to ask if anyone knows what the problem is or if anyone shares the same problem..and hopefully some advice on whether or not i can fix it myself..the window im pretty sure i can..as far as the ABS INOP..i have no clue!

also..i would like to do some performance mods..any suggestions..???

Re: RS problems!

see if the 3rd brak light is burnt out...mine was and for some reason made my light come on also. just make sure all the lights are working, i dont know why but it made my light come on so...the window prob is normal, it needs a new motor. performace...intake (K&Nfipk isnt bad, everybody has there own opinion though so..) exhust(i run flowmaster 80 seires..(once again everybody has there own opinion), headers( i dont have any soo brand cant tell you),there are more just depends on how much you are willing to spend!

AND WELCOME TO THE BOARD!

As far as the INOP light comin' on....mine does the same thing once in awhile. I talked to my mech and he said that sometimes they get dirt logged in'em and that will cause the light to come on. He suggested to check the front/rear ABS connections and clean'em out or make sure they're getting a solid connection. The power window issue...get some spray white grease, pull off the door panel, and spray the track down thoroughly....hope that helps.Even though my ABS light still comes on once in awhile...nothin' to be worried about.

im just tryin to look for the best performance..price is not really a concern at this point..its all gonna take time either way..the funny thing is i didnt do crap to this guys truck..he just looked and me and said sorry to me..instead of the other way around! and thats just shortly after i got the car too

thank you for the advice Ty-styxx..ill definately have to look into that too..im really glad i found this forum..2 questions answered that easily after all the possibilites i thought of..damn i was way off..!

yeah, magnaflows are great, better performance than the flows i believe. I just got teh flows because of a good deal. But if money isnt an issue, look into balora. umm do i high flow cat to. i need to do that, but money IS a deal to me. I just started my first sem. at OSU so money is tight.
