rpm's jumping when foot is not on pedal

rpm's jumping when foot is not on pedal

on 96 rs every time I step on the gas pedal the rpm's go up right. Then when I release the pedal they go down. but they go back up with out my foot on the pedal what's my problem

Possibly a bad timing belt or vacuum leak, maybe? I'm not an expert, but those have been issues with other cars I've owned before that have had the same problem.

I think it is a vaccum leak there a long hose and I can't find where it goes on the other end it connects to a round thing that have other hose going to it. is on the passener side of the car
