Question Rough start? Where to start.

Okay well lately my 98 Camaro has been having a tuff time turning on. It always turns on after the first try, but it takes awhile. Also when it starts it revs the engine by itself. First time is always the longest. After that it starts sort of fine but still does that reving. I hearing a slow clicking in the steering column too when it is starting. Which should I check first, starter, alternator..??? Thanks!

Plugs or MAF, if it is as rough as I think and you have changed you plugs with in the last 30,000miles it could be you maf.
I'm not saying go out and buy a new one see if you can barro one from a good car for like a day.
I see tham on ebay every now and then for kinda cheap.

Hmmm don't know if they changed the plugs or not. I bought the car used. Guess I will try that first. Thanks! Any other ideas?
