replace fuel pump?

my fuel pump is unusually loud, i've even had a couple of other f-body owners comment on it....has anyone else had this "problem" on their car, and if so does that mean the pump needs replacing?

Does your car have a hard time cranking over when starting? thats a good sign that the pump is going or gone too...

actually it does a lot of the time. sometimes when it's been sitting for a long time it will turn over right away, or if i turn it off and turn it back on it will turn over quickly. but most of the time it takes it a few seconds to turn over....i even try turning it to on to let the fuel pump run for a couple seconds but that doesn't seem to help....so i guess it sounds like i need a new one.....where's the best place to get one and how much do they usually go for? thanks for the help.

I just replaced the pump last week. If you buy the pump assembly for the year model it comes complete and is very expensive. Some have bought the walbro pump. I bought a pump for a 92 camaro 350 tpi. The pump was about 75 or 80 bucks. Worked great. I needed a quick fix because the car was down.
