Ok, my car is a 94, but it has a 97 3.08 rearend in it. I really wanna get 3.42s and LSD. My question is, would the gears work in my rear? Is it a 2 series or 3 series carrier? Should I just buy a whole rearend out of a 93-97 Z?

 

You have a series 2 carrier now with your 3.08's. the only other one with our cars is a 2.73's.

Your best bet is going to buying the whole rear end if you can. Its probably better being those gears are factory set. It will also give you disks brakes for your 94.
