I am not 100% sure on the rear end but I think they are the same from a V6 to a V8 just without posi.

The manual tranny offered in the Z-28's form 93 on are the T-56 6 speeds. The 5 speeds wouldn't last behind the LT-1 or LS-1 motors.

all 3.4Ls came with drim brakes and 3.23s, open differential... and manual trannies were T5s.

T5 is kinda weak never put behind anything more pwoerful then a 305 tpi 3rd gen.

Z28s come with varous gears and all have lsd, and 4 wheel disc brakes.

They do bolt up the same way, and all connectors fit up the same, they are both GM 10 bolt rear ends. If the z28 is still around you can check the gear codes in the glove vompartmetn or on the driverside door.

Gu6 = 3.42s
GU5= 3.23s
GU4= 3.082
I think Gu3= 2.73s
