I have yet to see someone buy a ram air hood for the gains. Ram air is one of the several controversial topics on here because it has not been dyno proven. Go with the CAI if you want hp.

CAI will give you a few more ponies all the time where as if the ram air is even functional you would only see hp at higher speeds with the throttle down.

The CAI is a much better idea, because for the grand u spend on the hood and RAM kit u could do cam/heads/bolt ons and be getting some serious power.

dude, i would say go with the CAI. It's way way cheaper then buying a hood and the whole ram air induction kit. Unless you want to make the car look better then go with the hood. But i got a SLP CAI and i love it.

go with the cai, theres no diff hp wise between the 2 there both pulling in cold air from the outside. unless you just want the hood for looks too.

Ram air is a myth. The air rushing over your car will never reach a greater velocity than the velocity of the air the motor pulls in on its own.

If you read Pontiac advertising for the HP gains on the WS6 they never say anything about Ram Air. WS6’s get their gains from modified exhaust and a different air box.

Unless you want the “cool” factor that the hood gives you, just buy the CAI.
