go there, you'll see some people times, jsut have to scroll down the the 3.4Ls.
I am one of the quicker, stock blocked and non-power adder guys.
I have a homemade intake, jsut some PVC piping, rubber drainage tubes, all parts form home depot, and the biggest cone filter I could find.
my exhasut at the moment, is pretty ghettoed, but I jsut needed a muffler on the car, no muffler was killing my ears.
I have a $15 thrush muffler, at the end of my Y-pipe, last time I ran it at the track I ran a 15.809, and it was about 80 degrees and very very humid out, I bet on a cold cold dry night, I could sneak another tenth and a half out of the car, if tractoin doesn't become a prolbme form then.
I have Accel universal fit wires, $25 ones form discount auto, I have AC dleco rapidfire plugs.
I have asp underdrive pulleys, and am currently only running hte crank pulley, the alt pulley is in my trunk, I might try hookin it back up agian some day.
Lt1 driveshaft, and 3.42 gears, complete with 4 wheel disc brake swap.
And i have a 5-speed.
I also have some suspension stuff that is wonderful but its pricey and doesn't really give the car more power jsut helps it drive.
Most important thing in my opinion is the car is tuned up.
-When was your fuel filter replaced
-how old are your o2 sensors.
-any exhasut leaks, check the EGR, if its leaking
-Flush the motor next oil change
-Whats your oil pressure like?
-run Seafoam, thorugh your vacum lines
-abotu where does your car idle at?
-run fuel system cleaner
-how is your PCV valve?
-are your valves ticking?
-Clena your throttle body really well, its easier to do it with it off.
You can combine some of these things, to save you time, like when you change the coolant, and flush radiator, you cna do a throttle body bypass, and pop the throttle body off and clean it up.

What you got in mind?

Its just that it seems that to get the 3.4 to run hard, would require engine work and/or nos.....neither I want to get into.
..but then again.....I have a extra Garrett T-38 turbo from the truck..hmmmm???

BUT as for the other stuff, I have most of it (CAI, Catback, etc). Plus I dont' want to drop a ton of cash into a car that is worth about $4000 bucks at resale time.

I know what you mean. I keep teling myself not to put any moeny into my car but at the moment I am wasting money on bolt ons, that I could easily replace and resell.
I just think there is a bug in your car that needs to be tracked down.
I mean it could be something small like a bad tps, thats sending wrong info to the computer causing trouble?

Hey MustangEater , Im installing Headers , exhaust , CAI, and an 160 degree thermostat. What do you think I should run in the 1/4 after I install all of this. Oh and soon I will be getting 3.42 gears and underdrive pullies. Will I be any faster then?? I really wanna break into the 15's!!

I would assume you would be.
I would go with a 1 piece driveshaft also, lt1 steel ones are pretty damn cheap.
Personally I think most anyone with a 3.4L should check out there coils and clean up all the terminals, and update there ignition systems too. Not deathly important to upgrade it but just mke sure everything on the cr is fully functional.
