question about slp take-off shocks

i ordered the slp take-off shocks, and a guy from slp told me that because of the difference in front end weight my car will ride hard and the ride height will change with the new shocks. does anyone know if this will be that big of a deal and how much of a change it will actually be? thanks for the help.

BAH!

It should be valved a little stiffer but that is what you want.

Ride height shouldn't even be an issue...

if you used the springs from SLP, yes then it would be higher, the shocks wont make much of a diff if any

Yeah, I'd think that shocks have very little to do with ride height. That's the job of the springs. How hard are they to change by the way?

pain in the *ss, at least for the fronts. the rears are cake. if you do it yourself, you need to rent a spring compressor for the fronts. if you're thinking about getting springs also then i suggest you get them and shocks all at the same time, because you'll have to take apart the whole strut anyway to take off the coilover and put it on the new shocks and reassemble the strut.

the rears arent necessarially easy ... take my experience for example... i live in the mid west, and it took a cutting wheel to get the shocks off... al lthe bolts were rusted (gurrrrrr)

ehh its not that bad...

I just put the rear on jack stands, positioned the wrench on the shocks, then put a jack nder the wrench and "jacked" the wrench up to get the bolt started.
