I believe its just a longer brake cable since you are going to disk brakes.

With the exception of needing a longer e-brake cable, it should just bolt in.

However, when I had my V6, I wanted to do the same thing but for some reason people told me not to buy a rear-end that had traction control. Which may cause some problems because it requires a computer to work, and the traction control cars my have a different ABS setup. Check with the LT1 guys.

are you going to keep the brakes, i thought jeremy was going to buy them,

if you do get the brakes , you will need a new proportioning valve in addition to the rear brake lines , and e-brake cable

I did this swap...

First off... you do not need a new master cylinder or brake proportioning valve... I have had mine with niether for over a year, and they stop much quicker then then my drum brakes ever did. I have autocrossed and road raced on them.

As for e-brake cable you jsut need the left and right one off a z28 or a 4-wheel disc brake v6 from 93-97, which is pretty rare I think y87 only.

I did it in a parking garage with 4 jackstands... a hydraulic jack and the stock spare tire jack.

Get a big breaker bar for the bolts.... I didn't have one.... made things difficult but I posisotn the wrench above a jack so I could "jack " some bolts loose to be taken off.

I suggest taking off the entire rear axle along with the torqu arm and drive shaft connected. Its really really hard to get the stock 2 piece driveshaft off the torque arm wqhen it is all on the car but once off the car takes less ten a minute to do.

Along with taking hte old driveshaft out i woudl defiently upgrade.... go for ls1 if you can afford it unless you are like me and canot I got a used Lt1 Driveshaft for $25.

when you rebleed the brakes.... use a clear bottle and a lawnmower fuel line(any car store has them, its a clear tube0 and bleed the brakes till you see the air gone.... keep doing it over and over till when you dirve the brake feel solid. I know a couple peopel have had problems and rebled their systesm like 3-4 times it took me 5 times to get it right.

I can get mopre specific if you wnat or can answer any questions you have.

my AIm is in the sig....
