power mirror conversion

Since my cable sideview mirror (driver's side) is busted beyond repair, and because I eventually plan to convert from manual windows and locks to power ones, I thought I might do this: buy the power switches (locks, windows, mirror) and install them, then get a power mirror hooked up to it and worry about the windows and locks later. So my question is this: what sort of wiring do I need between the switch and the mirror, and is there anything else that I'll need to get? Thanks

the conversion is costly and not worth it in my opinion. But you will need the switch for the mirror, which resides on the arm rest panel on the door, which includes the power windows and locks , and the trim peice for it. Then you will need the power mirrors. You will also have to run power to the doors, to further complicate the matter if you want the light to shine on the buttons once installed, you will need to get the bulb abd harness for the light. The trim peice can already accomodate this.

thats another whole story, You can wire them into the fuse block under the dash. you still need to cut the boot going into the door if you want to hide the wire. Its very executable, just not a simple easy 1-2-3 task.

cut the boot?

When I did the stereo install in my Firebird, I ran my new speaker wire through the boot in the jam. I just fed the wire through.
