my 96 auto-tranny kinda lags a little whenever its cruisin in 1st and i dont give it a lot of gas. has plenty of gas in it so i dont think its a fuel problem unless i need a new fuel filter...any ideas??

fuel filter is an inexpensive and easy fix, that some people says is routine if you get up past 100K, so if you think that maybee the problem I'd start with that as it can't hurt..

Could you provide any more details on the symptoms? Is there an SES light? It almost sounds motor related.

if it's not reading an ses code then it those should be OK, sure always good to replace etc., but those costs add up quick…. Anyways, when you said “lags a little” what exactly do you mean? if you punch it does it respond?? is this just happening in first gear?? more details might help

ya it only happens in 1st gear, and it kinda doesnt fix it when i punch it unless it do it hard...uh when i say lag i mean that it kinda stalls at an rpm and then picks up a sec later but it hasnt been doin it lately
