Port and Polish?

Post and polish on a 3.4l, is it worth it? Over the winter I would like to take off the upper and lower intake manifold and the heads as well, and take them somewhere local to get an average port and polish to open it up a bit. As well as maybe a cam and valvetrain package from ammperformance.com. I know about what I will be spending on the cam and valvetrain package, just wondering on a ballpark figure on the porting and polish job. I have some future plans for the motor, just don't have the money at the time to do everything I want. Thanks for the help guys, and any other alternatives, would be very helpful.

Did it back hwen I had my 2.9.. Was worth it if you do it yourself... If you pay for the mod it is to much for too little.
