Question piping size

Well i have a friend that know a guy that does exhaust stuff and does it for cheap so i decided to get a lil work done from him. Since its gonna only cost me $150 w/ piping, 3' angled slash tips, and labor i have deiceded that im gonna get this done and wait till summer or so to get the loud mouth. What i was thinking is have him chop off the muffler and run it straight back. But the problem is should i get 2.5' piping or should i go 3' piping instead. BTW i have stock exhaust manifolds and cat and i probably wont get headers until i get the Loud mouth but not sure. Any help is greatly apperciated. Also maybe you guys can tell me the pros and cons of each size if there is any. Also which one would sound the best w/ a stock motor.

I would get 2.75 if I was plaining to do some real mods, if not I would just keep a 2.5'' (on a mostly stock engine).

BTW probably a lot of you guys are thinking why am i gonna blow $150 away on something that i will be replacing in the future anyway. The reason why is becuase i bought my car sept. of last year and it has been stock from then to now and i am getting a little tired of it being stock and want to do something new and make me and the maro happy and also hoping that it will turn even more heads then it does now. Also the reason why my car turns a lot of head is because i have the factory gfx and i guess there isnt too many camaros w/ gfx here. So please help me decide.

Stick with 2.5" unless you plan to spray or get blown.

I believe it's 2.75"

Sometimes people will pick up a v8 takeoff and install it as an upgrade.

I put a 3" borla on mine. But I was planning on a blower at the time.

Since the piping is so cheap, you should splurge and buy a really great muffler. I would suggest u run a 3" S-pipe with a Borla muffler and keep that setup. Skip the loudmouth and spend the money on something better.
