okay guys... ive been searching for a long time for an affordable parts car for my swap and ive found one. buying it tommorow.. its a 97 Z28 fully loaded whith chrome rims/new tires and 6 speed, and only has damage to nose...windsheild and airbags...runs perfect..tried it myself.. 93k on motor and tranny. leather interior too

so im gonna be swapping the 3.4 to the lt1 and the A4 to the T56 as well as most of the interior and the taillights... any problems you guys think ill be running into besides in the tranny swap which i know what work has to be done.... ohh ya got entire car for only 2850 all by myself and with money i earned during summer break first year home from college.....gonna be fun

 

Thats the way to do it man! Work hard for the money and when you invest it, it feels really good. Good job..I would almost go as far as to say keep the Z but sounds like you have your heart set on the swap.

I'm not too sure on the swap since I haven't done one but I'm sure you can find the info on a search. I do know with the tail-lights that there is a prob with the ABS...it isn't just plug-and-play unfortunatly.

Are you parting out the rest of the car?

 

yup..id just keep the Z myslef and fix that but the title is a wrecked title.. and id have to have the frame redone...i found a sight on how to hook the lights up so thats no prob...as for parting her out...soon as im done stripping parts..im gonna use half the interior, and the engine/suspension/drivetrain and rear end so not much will be left....whatever there is im parting out....so let me know if you want anything

yup..guess u saw her....actually changed mind and when i went down to buy her decided to sell the 6 and rebuild her.. frame is near perfect...just need to bend part up front....needs new nose...and im buying a z-roc hood... guys are throwing in new radiator...fans...windshield and airbags....other than that car is mint condition...couldnt believe how clean the interior and exterior was...no rust anywhere on car either...she started right up and purred...oil looked good and everything...considering i bought car with that stuff for 2850 and shes in near perfect shape(besides front) im going fix her...

 

Heh...all I want would be the headlights. Just pop the old bulbs out and HID lamps in...not the eBay type but the real ones.
