Oxygen sensor performance question

For a track only car, what effect will it have on the performance if I remove the exhaust system from the cat. back?

Will it confuse the computor by not having O2 readings and hurt the performance or is there a way to do this a help performance?

I wouldn't bother..you'll lose so much backpressure you'll actually go much slower if your v6 is relatively stock. I had to drive mine with open headers when i removed the turbo kit and it was gutless.

As for the codes, you'd have o2 codes after a few seconds but WOT the pcm doesn't read the stock o2's anyways so from that aspect it would just be a nuisance.
