A new V6er
Hey,
I just wanted to introduce myself to the forum.I'm Kyle, and i'm 16(i'm sure that wont earn myself to much respect).I've finally got the car that i've wanted for quite some time.Thats right your guessed it... a camaro.I payed $300 canadian for it,and put a good part of the summer into it working on it.I have pics of the car the day after it got painted sitting in the back parking lot of my school(i didnt get it painted there).they are located on my web pageHere Right now the pics are on the thumbnail photo list.To see a bigger pic of the car just click on it.
F-body's have been in my parents garage for some time,my dad had a 70's RS which ended up rotting through. So he then got a 79 trans am 455 which was in an accident and now he has a 71 trans am 455 h.o. with a formula 400 hood fit onto it(yes there's a cut out for the shaker,he wouldnt think about getting rid of that)
Anyway,i'm sure i've taken enough time out of your day
Peace,Kyle

Kevin-Not all those pictures of R/C cars are mine. Many of those pics are just from the members on my website.I have a gas(nitro) truck that i like to play with.I havent got any updated pictures of that though.Oh yea to answer your question some of them get up to 50mp/h and the bigger scale get up to around 70-80 mp/h,those in particular accelerate from o-60 in about 1.5 second or so when you get good traction.I have downloaded a video of a highly modified nitro r/c go 101.7 mp/h across an air strip.
Big steve-i mean $300 canadian,it's 2.8.I needed to replace the hood and drivers door when i got the car so i went all out on it.I think after it was painted the total is approx $2500,my insurance company values the car at 3500
so thats a pretty sweet deal.
1fastV6- at least you guys realise that, some of the other forums i have been to didnt appreciate the fact that i'm only 16.I think it's just because alot of them were to say the least "wreckless" or thought abit to much of themselfs at 16.
GreenG0blin-yea,i was supprised when i drove past a guys house that is about 2 km's down the road from mine to see a berlinetta sitting in his driveway with a forsale sign in the window.
was prety much what i did when i saw it.
