i bought a used 95 camaro 3.4 automatic...... ive been reading the message boards but can't seem to find a way to fix mine.........my car hesitates and stutters when i give it full throttle before it surges with some good power to it.......i have replaced the spark plugs wires, coil pack.... catalic converter and ehaust all advice from a mechanic..... it back fires alot in the engine bay not the exhaust. and you can hear alot of knocking like maybe the cylinder is hittign something not sure how to explain it. i think im going to try the seafoam thing i heard about maybe theres to much carbon build up. what to u guys think.

 

Change the fuel filter. It's cheap, easy, and if it doesn't work you have the piece of mind that you have a new, clean one that isn't your problem.

 

What kind of plugs and wires did you use?
