Hello,

I have a weird electrical issue that NO ONE can figure out. When coming to a stop or at an idle, often my power guage drops down in to the red, the lights dim, the a/c fan slows down and as soon as I give it a little gas, it's right back to normal. The service manager at chevy told me my positive battery cable was damaged due to the way I had my amp wire hooked up (maybe she's right, maybe she's trying to make more money off of me). I bought the cable today for a $80 hit to the pocket........... Gotta love those GM only parts. Does anyone believe this is the cause of the problem? I'm already on my 4th alternator. The car is a 99. Ever since I purchased the car in 2000, at night, you can see the interior lights flickering. The headlights did it when I first purchased the vehicle but a new alternator appeared to have fixed that. ANY help would be much appreciated.
