I guess I could be way off on this, but doesn't that mean that you need to rebuild your engine? Or at least change head gaskets and such?

Re: NEED help !! engine hellllp!

there are many reasons for low compression!
are the three cylinders at the same bank?

try the search function and you will find many descriptions how to find the reason for low compression.....
If you spray a little bit oil in the combustion chamber and makes a new compression check and the pressure goes up you have bad piston rings...(for example) If not, you have a problem with the head, maybe valves or the head gasket or in the worst case a cracket head

imo... if its a tired motor you could honestly jsut buy a new(used) motor and drop it in for cheaper then fixing yours, if its anything more then a bad headgasket.

I have seen lower mileage 3.8Ls go fro less then $500. a full rebuild, ring replacement, or even head work will cost more then that.

I almost picked up a 3.4L once for $100

I'll agree with that. I've had the experience of rebuilding my 3.8. Not fun nor cost-worthy.. should've gotten an LS1.
