lower oil pressure
lower oil pressure
oil pressure in the car has always been good. when i'd first start it and it was cold, it would run at about 70, then gradually go down to 60 as it warmed up.
so this weekend i took a longer trip, about 300 miles. the way down, everything is peachy. on the way back, i check my oil pressure like normal. it was down to about 45 psi while i was driving down the interstate. i pulled over, checked my oil. i added about half a quart because i know that it used to leak a few drops every once in a while. at idle it will be anywhere from 35-50 psi. no SES light, no low oil light, idle is smooth, still have another 1k miles before the next change, i even got awesome gas mileage on this tank. it's running castrol gtx 10-30W. that got me thinking. the last three days here have been cold, 40-60*. anybody else have an idea?
