my friend is in need of your help!!!

well for about the last year or so my buddy's 91 v6 rs has been getting worse by day my friend has had this problem where if his car sits in the sun too long it wont start all all the electrics will fire right up and it will indicate that he has plenty of cranking power but yet it still wont start this has stranded him along with myself numberous times but if we open the hood for a while it tends to start after a while its jsut weird that something like this seems almost completely based on heat ( for the most part ) and no shop he takes it too can figure out what the hell is wrong with it so i thought i woudl give this site a shot at it to see if anybody has any idea's???

any help here would mean the world to my friend for this has caused him much grief and has him constantly in trouble with his employer...

When he tries to start it will it turn over and just not catch, or will the starter not function at all?

nothing happens at all i can hear a faint clicking but he has a brand new starter he just put it in a few months ago but like i said some times it works just fine but if it gets too hot it just wont work at all... its a manual though so it could be a number of things and lately his clutch has been slipping pretty bad so any thoughts on that being something to look at too??

No, the clutch wouldn't affect starting unless it wasn't disengaging right. Even then the started should have enough power to make the car lunge forward. It's possible that it's a heat soak issue, but I've never heard of it being that bad just from sitting in the sun.
