Magnaflow or Flowmaster?
How about you buy my old loudmouth for $200 plus shipping
pics http://www.cardomain.com/ride/561536/4 It's a V8 setup too but the way it was taken off my car you'll need a shop to install it anyway.

Re: Magnaflow or Flowmaster?
if you are looking for sound you should have chose an aero chamber much softer sound than the other's but still nice and deep. the flowmasters don't inprove power that much and the magna flow's make more hp but are a little more rattlie-tin canie- I don't know they just don't sound as good.. my choice 1st aero chambers, 2nd magna flow, and 3rd flow's.
Re: Magnaflow or Flowmaster?
Just for info, and for anyone else reading this, B&B Tri-Flo is the best exhaust hands down ive ever heard on a v6, and gives you the most power.
Its also really expensive.

Re: Magnaflow or Flowmaster?
I'm thinking about getting a flowmaster for my camaro, but I cant seem to get a firm price on how much the total cost is going to be; some sites have them listed for $300-$450, anyone have any idea how much installation would cost?

i got mine for $400 CDN, tax included (so they were $350 CDN + tax), after i haggled down $50
...install was $120 CDN, to give u an idea
i'd say $300 US for the system, $80-100 for a good install
Re: Magnaflow or Flowmaster?
The only way you're going to get a "firm" quote on how much the whole shebang is going to cost you is to go to a local muffler shop and talk to the mechanic there. I can tell you right now they're going to frown at you if you buy your own parts, but if you go to a small enough shop that doesn't stock all these exhaust systems, you might get one that'll install your own setup. Install should no way exceed $100, IMO.
I'm lucky because I have a shop in the family equipped with all of the welding tools, lifts, etc..
