Magna flow Direct-fit

Can you tell me if the Magna flow direct-fit cat PN-23466
is a high-flow or just a replacement.
It has the "Y" pipe & the "S" pipe included.

"High flow" cats really don't make a noticable difference over a modern stock cat (inlet/outlet diameters being the same). If you need a new cat, grab a $50 catco off of ebay (most come with a 5 year/50k mile warranty) and install that.

If you don't really need a cat, then just take the cat shields off of your current cat and weld them onto a straight pipe or bullet muffler.

A bullet muffler would be better for sound and flow over a "gutted" cat.
