LS1 Swap

Well guys i just got home from Tennessee I dropped my car off at Tennessee Auto Parts formally Speedautomotive.com It was a nice 13 hour drive to Cleveland and then a grouling 25 hour bus ride home. The only thing we are waiting on is a from K member cause it turns out that the one it had got messed up Scott said it shouldn't be too long before he gets another one and may only push the completion date back a week. hope he finds one soon cause i am ready to be able to pull the stick down from 5th and the gears not grind i'll keep you guys posted

Good deal man!

I don't know how much help I can be - but if there is anything really serious that you need someone from around here to take care of, let me know and I will do what I can. I live about 30 minutes south of their shop.

Scott isn't my favorite - but his employees (the guys that will be working on your car probably) are the best - they are very knowledgable.

Just out of curiousity - how much is he charging you to do the swap? (If you don't mind telling...)

Its cool to see someone actually go through with it rather then just post about it.

I'll try to remember to post here as I proceed too. I'm in "parts accumulation" mode right now... Got the engine, tranny, pcm, and harness in late January.

Ordered TEA Stage 2 heads (with optional o-ringing), ARP head studs, BMR K-member, Walbro pump, '97 Vette fuel rail (to keep my return-type fuel system), SLP Radiator, Mac headers, TCI 3000 rpm converter, Prothane engine and tranny mounts, LS6 intake, Z06 maf, TSP lid, a nitrous cam, and a few other miscellaneous goodies. Should be good for arond 425hp without the nitrous...

Right now the parts are starting to trickle in, and I've been disassembling the engine and cleaning the old parts, brackets, etc.

In the meantime, I'm running a Powerdyne blower on the v6, CIA headers, Borla 3" exhaust, so that is holding me over for now, until I can do the swap.
