its alright. if later on you get a ram air you gonna have to do it anyway. while your at also do the home depot lid. every little bit counts.

 

No, its not worth it. First off it doesn't gain you anything unless your moving fast, it makes your car heat up more at stop lights (if you put a piece of metal in to make it work liks the hundred dollar ones), your air filter turns black right above where the hole is. If you want any gain at all you have to seal off the original hole or else the air comming threw the bottom will just go out the original intake spot. I didn't notice a gain. I haven't heard of the home depot lid before, but I know the whisper lids work great.
