low-side A/C hook up

Where is the low-side A/C port located on my '97 3.8 Camaro? I need to recharge the system and I see two places to screw into; one looks like its connected to a bottle and the other is near the radiator... which one is it?

Thanks,
Mark

Re: low-side A/C hook up

you want the high flow one, not the low. its on the left side if your looking at the engine right by the condensor thingy

DO NOT USE THE HIGH SIDE FOR SQUAT. DANGEROUS S***. you need the low side to recharge. normally they are by the bottle in a fat a/c line. the high side port is on the skinny a/c line. stay away from the high side!

Re: low-side A/C hook up

low side = large diameter line and small port.
high side = small diameter line and large port.

High side is for closed valve pressure read only. If you attempt to open the high side it will fill and then explode the can your charging from. Only charge from the low side (suction) port.
