Lost to a supercharged grand prix with some stuff done to it

i lost to a grand prix!! it had a cold air intake, smaller pulley, some sort of engine breather, and no telling what else. my cat was partially clogged at that time (i could tell something was wrong but didnt know what it was and it was affecting my times) 10.9 1/8th and i normally run 9.9 the grand prix beat me by a car length and got 9.9

Well a 6 cylinder Camaro is more of an economy car than a performance car, and GTP Gran Prix can run pretty good. Stock it probably wouldv'e taken if not been close to your car.

Stock for stock, GTP GP all day..

Plus, intake/exhaust and other mods are more effective on blown engines.

To make the race even for both cars stock, you have to fill the GTP up with about 600 pounds of extra weight, and even then the GTP should creep away very slowly. We did this with my friends 98 GTP and my others friends 96 V6 5 speed. If both cars would have been just the driver, it would have been a slaughter.

Don't be too suprised, with a handful of mods., those things can get pretty quick and give stock/mild modded LT1s a run for their money. There are plenty of GTPs dipping into the 9s and 10s.

I'd say LS1s, not LT1s. I wouldn't be shocked to see a stock LT1 be taken by a stock or near-stock GTP.

I would have to disagree, a lightly modded GTP will most likely pull a stock LS1 out of the hole, but the LS1 will just devour it up top.
