Just a quick question..
There isn't an appropriate place to put this, but since no one replied and it got bumped rather quickly in the lounge, i'm putting it in here.
===============
I noticed, when I bought a 155mph Cluster for my 96' Firebird, that it had the lights for "TCS OFF" and "Change Oil", and so I went into the garage and looked at the 120mph cluster thats in my car, and it has the "TCS OFF" and the "Change Oil" light too. Now I know the Traction Control light doesn't work because I don't have traction control, but should the change oil light work? Its never came on since i've owned the car. I know the cars with the digital odometers have a change oil light that works, but I never knew I did, and I was just curious, thanks in advance, and I hope I didn't confuse anyone with this.

Im not sure what year your car is but i have a 95 and ihave seen both the lights your talking about. I know in the 95 year cars that got the 3.8 mostly in CA, also got the traction control button. The manual claims that a oil light will come on to warn of low oil pressure. However, when i turn on the car all the lights come on that should except the oil light. 3 of my freinds have the same issue. I just don't like the light functioned until late 95 or 96 because my car was made may 5, 1995 and my light doesn't work.
Well, since i have the new cluster, i can examine it all around, and mine is a 96 just to let you know, but anyway, on the back, where both the traction control light is, and the oil change light, there is a whole for each, where the ligh bulb would plug in, so it isn't a part of the actual cluster, its just where a light would be added on, but i'm still curious as to why there is an oil change light, because you shouldn't have to have bought an option for that to be on your car, you'd think it would come standard. And i do not have traction control, i'm not sure why, i have the manual second gear start button on the console, but it doesn't make the TCS light come on the dash.
