Hey guys i have a quick question..
my friend has a 98 V6 and everyone says that the only ignition that works is the DIS 4? Why is this? Any other ones that work with his car?

well all of the other ignition systems are useing a coil on our cars we do not have conventinal distributors so msd made a system called DIS (digital ingnition system or distributorless ingnition system) now they make 2 the msd-dis-2 and the msd-dis-4 the dis 2 is for only 4 cylinder the dis 4 is for vehicles with 3 or 4 coil packs i am also selling a complete unit i installed in already but i need the money it is all wired up all u would have to do is put the coil interface packs in between the coil and the board i am taking any reasonable offers mike

 

mike, how much are you looking to get for the DIS4 and the CIU's?

and cheese, yes the DIS4 is the only ignition (well the only MSD ignition) that will work on the 4th gen V6 F-body

srry no way the box was 379 and the modules were 27 a pop that comes out to 460 plus everything is all soldered and weather proofed to were alll u have to do is connect 12 volts and a ground and put the modules beween the packs and board srry but no way in hell

 

plus u still get the warranty
