Ignition Coil Replacement

I was on a trip the other day when my service engine soon light came on and the car started surging. Took it to the chevy dealer and it turns out that one of the ignition coils went out, so I was only running on 4 cylinders. They replaced it for $180. I took a look at it later on and it looks like this would be really easy to fix, has anybody replaced them on there cars? If one of the others go out I'd much rather pay $50 to replace it myself then shelling out almost $200.

VERY simple install...it is detailed in any Camaro/Firebird repair manual.

Yep, piece of cake. Just 2 screws and the 2 wires.

Did that $180 include and diagnostic work by chance?

Meant to say $128. The part cost $55 and the rest was labor, I guess that includes diagnostics, cause when I called to see if it was ready the lady said that the tech had it hooked up to the computer finding out what the problem was right then
