I went to a car show on Saturday

I went to a car show on Saturday and I entered in my car! I got some nice comments from a lot of people. Although it kinda aggrivated me when people thought it was my dads car and not mine! Oh well, It was fun and I got some new ideas. I was the only F-body there!

Hey man, your car looks just like mine Nice. Some things I did:
-Ditch the stock antenna for an aluminum one ($9)
-Painted brake calipers black ($3)
-"Camaro" brake caliper decals in aluminum ($12)
-Rear silver C-A-M-A-R-O inserts ($14)
-Clear front turn signals ($45)
-Clear rear side markers ($free, did it myself)
That's just some ideas,I don't know what all you've done to yours and what your tastes are but I like the black/silver look.Anyway, that's just some ideas.Keep us updated so I can copy you

In fact my next mod was going to be the clear front turn signals. Where did you get yours from? How did you do the side markers in clear? I was thinking about painting my calipers in black as well, along with "camaro" on the caliper. I like my clean rear look, so im not gonna get any rear inserts. where did you get the aluminum antenna from?

I bought mine off of E-bay.I can't remember the company name. One word of advice, use rubber seals when you install them lenses, some people have issues with water leaking in.I drilled some holes and used a rubber o-ring and have had no problems.

I then used a flat sheet of clear plastic out of a florescent light. You can pick up a 2 X 2 sheet at Home Depot for like $2.Be careful though,it's brittle. The best way to cut it is with a dremel. You can probably use any clear plastic though, this is just what I had on hand and it gave that "diamond like" look.I took out the housings and used a dremel tool to cut off the front red part.I then sat the housing down on the clear plastic with the diamond side pointing in and traced the outline. Then I just cut it out with the dremel and drilled a hole for the one screw.I then used clear RTV and used it like glue to seal the housing to the plastic and then the screw just added extra strength when the housing was re-installed.

From Pep Boys.It was on the isle with the replacement antenna masts. One was aluminum and it was like $8.95 or something. It came with 2 or 3 different bases and fit perfectly.By the way, where is Carolina Dragway?I am in Charleston and looking for a nice 1/4 track to visit.Maybe when I get back from Germany in the spring we can meet up.

Ok thanks. Carolina Dragway in a small city called Jackson. The general area is Aiken, Beech Island, Jackson. Its in Aiken County on the border of Augusta, Georgia. The track itself is about 5 miles from the Savanah River.
