if you want to get a better idea of what your MPG is you should

-fill up all the way
-note the milage
-drive like you usually do
-at around 1/4 tank, fill up to full again
-note the extra milage

since you're going from a full tank to a full tank the gas pump will tell you the exact amount of gas that you've burned since your last fillup. then just do miles/gallons (obviously) and you can stop guessing your MPG and actually calculate it.

On a typical drive from home to school, ~390 miles one way (no its not a commute :P) i usually get there on one full tank with the guage bouncing from just above the 'E' line and the 1/4 line. I usually do ~80 and have A/C on most of the time. when I fill up it usually ends up ~13.5 and 14 gallons.

i don't know what's going on with the camarov6 registration. i reg'd in a day. then again that was over a year ago....

you should email the admins.

I've never filled up all the way , I always just put in the same dollar amount roughly every week. How do you pay? Just give them more then you know you need and get change or what.

Yeah just tell them $25 or $30 depending on how gas prices are in your area and then go back and get the change. Don't use your gas gauge to calculate milage. Divide the miles you went on that tank by how many gallons you filled up with.

Filling up isn't a real exact science either, I put in 12.5 gallons when it was above 1/4 of a tank. I drove about 30 highway, 15 city miles filled it up again, sort of I don't know I put some more in and it came out to 22.6 mpg.

My tank is more like 3/4 being 1/2 with less than 2 gallons at 1/4. I get about 200 miles per tank with the 3.73's and some leadfoot.

They are probably referring to pre-pay pumps. Some places dont turn the pumps on until you pay. Thats why they have to guess how much to put in. It crap, but it keeps people from pulling gas runs.

i don't know what century you guys live in east of here, but every gas station i've ever filled up at in california makes you pay before they turn on the pump. i usually just use my CC so i don't have to go in at all.

Same here in Florida, I haven't seen any non prepay, but I would prepay anyway, god knows they woulden't like you have 1 penny of gas over what you paid.
