I just ordered the shifter for my '96 V6 Camaro.

What I got, is exactly what is pictured. I was the previous owner of 2 6-speed LT1 cars, and 1 LS1 car. I KNOW what I got will work with the stock shifter in those cars, but today when I tried to install this shifter in my V6 car, I see that there is no way it is the right shifter.

So, this is my problem. I just bought this V6 car over the weekend, it was pretty modified when I bought it, headers, CAI, cat-back, MSD wires, etc. So...I don't know for sure if the shifter in my car is the stock one, or if it is already aftermarket.

What I need to know is if the short shift stick pictured in the Ebay ad WILL fit a stock 5-speed shifter so I know if I have a right to complain. I don't want to go ahead and complain in case it turns out my shifter is not stock. Thanks a lot.

 

no,wont work,the stock 5 speed shifter don't have a removable handle

you can cut down the stock handle and rethread it like I did tho

ya it wont work the stock is not a removerbull handlle i would comeplan if i were you to ebay and see if you can get your money back.

i just got a 94 v6 and i have 40 serics flowmaster and a comp cam what is the next thing i should get to add more power? is the tb bypass good
