I respect the 3.8
I respect the 3.8
My mom has a 2000 red camaro convertible with the 3.8 with 60,000 miles and she never warms it up and with the auto she lets it rev to 3 grand every time. No maintence so far and she waits like 5,000 miles for an oil change. Only problem was her cat went last year or two and it was covered by GM.
yeah i think that's what got mine. i believe the previous owner was a chick and it probably went through the same thing. Unfortunately I know what many vehicles owned by chicks go through after what a couple of now exes did to their cars. I felt bad for the cars and there was more than a few occasions where i had to bail them out when it wouldn't start. Anyway I babied my camaro after i got it but it's looking like it's new engine time. luckily the clutch and rear end is in good shape.
I did exactly that, I got rid of my trouble-free V6 Y87 Camaro and "finally" got a Z28. The V6 I regularly drove it cross country. I wouldn't trust my LT1 more than a 150 miles at a time. Plus it was a lot better on gas. Guess I just got a bad one.
If it had a t-roof, I probably would have kept it.

Ya i love my v6, except since the day i bought it it has had starting troubles. o well its worth it. and i too wish the idiot before me took better care of it. i baby it. I'm hoping to get a 4k loan and pour it into the car
