i love b&b
i love b&b
i got my b&b catback put on about a month ago. since then i noticed it seemed like i had more top end power but no proof of it. Well before i got this exhaust i had a cold air intake and k&n. Me and one of my freinds would race each other. He has a pontiac pheonix with a 350. He has done a lot to his engine as far a bolt ons. He has holly four barrel carb, a performer intake maniford, ripped off all exhuast including smog pump, has true duel exhuast with no cat, and ignition upgrades. Anyway we would always race at a street quarter mile, before i had my exhuast we would launch dead even, but once we reaced about 30 he would start pulling hard on me and win by about a car length. Well i just got through racing him twice with my exhuast. we launched dead even by 30 I was actually pulling on him. I kept pulling and ended up beating him by a car length. This happened twice in a row. I love my b&b, now he can't tell people his car is faster than mine. just thought i'd share.
cool, I'm looking for an exhaust system, what does B&B stand for? i've never heard of them. where ca you find their products online? where did you buy yours? i am thinking about the flowmaster american thunder, are our you pleased with the sound of yours as well as the performance?

I have heard my car from the inside and out. From the inside it sounds awsome all of the time especially above 3k. when i have someone ride in my car with me they are honestly amazed that my car is a v6. (they have never riden in an ls1 but my freind with a 93 auto ta says that it feels like my car is almost pulling as hard as his. He only pulls a 14.8 at the quarter though. As for outside the car it can sound a little ricy when you rev in neutral but all v6 camaros do. under load in first gear it has a nice blended/ tuned type sound and as you get into higher rpms it sounds even better.
i cannot compare it to an american thunder flowmaster catback just because i have never heard one or riden in a car with one. I have heard a 3.4 with a 40 series flowmaster and it didn't sound great, but im sure it is much different.
I got my exaust directly from b&b. There website is something like b&bperformance.com, or something like that. I am very satisfied with the exaust, especially after racing and im sure nobody would be dissapointed with it. I got the 2.5 inch for the v6 with quad tips.
It was hard for me to decide at first which exhaust to get, especially paying the money i did for one. But i hear from almost everyone i talked to that b&b had the biggest gains so that is what i went with.
hope this helps you

Someone said that sounded B&B is similiar to dynomax-after hearing a clip of it. I'd much rather save the money and get the non-stainless, if this is true.
But then again I know clips aren't the best way to judge an exhaust.
