How much should exhaust installation cost?

I'm getting the SLP Loudmouth and wanted to know what a competitive price would be for installation.. I trust my mechanic but I want to be sure...

I'm also thinking of getting the Pacesetter Headers.. Has anyone gotten them and are they any good? I know they seem to be a lot cheaper than the other options...

Thanks..

I paid $130 to have my catback installed and that is with no welding.

I would also like to know what headers would cost.

Since I purchased my Borla Cat-back through my shop, they installed it for only $75 bucks. If I ordered it on my own, they would of charged $110.

OK, thanks.. So without welding 100-150.. And with welding 200-300.

Does anyone know anything about the Pacesetter Headers? I've seen them around the web pretty cheap, but I want to make sure they're good quality before I order them..

I know i paid too much, They charged me $60 an hour to have some jackass 16 year old hand tools to and assist the mechanic for 50minutes, not like it takes a real mechainc to install it but i don't have a lift, so i have to take it somewhere. Look for a small town shop that isn't as busy as others, when it comes to exhaust work, they don't charge as much and they do much better work, i went to a small place with one mechaninc but he is busy, and he charged me too much, next time i will take it elsewhere.

I was really pissed when they neglegted to cut down a clamp thread and i had to listen to it rattle for3 weeks before I could get it back.

most of the shops that i wnet to either told me 100-200, or that it couldnt be done (carX is worthless)

Anything over $100 is a ripoff.

After talking to the mechanic...

I'm very tempted to try and undertake this myself.. The head mechanic wasn't in but the next guy said installation for headers would be about 250 and for the exhaust system 200 ballpark, depending on how much welding...

How hard would it be for me to install the headers and exhaust myself? (If it were Pacesetters and the Loudmouth going on a 96 3.8L).. Don't have a lift, but we have ramps, if those would get it high enough.. Nothing elaborate as far as tools go, but all the basics that would probably do it...

I personally think the exhaust wouldn't be too bad, but I don't think my Dad has anything for welding.. But I've heard headers are a real pain to install.

Also, are the Pacesetters my best option for headers? I know ammperformance has them on sale... Just not sure how they are quality wise.

Thanks.
