A 3.8 in 95 would give it the 3.42 gears. I don't think it would take much to beat you if anything. My friend had a 95 3.8 and we would pull stock older z's and mustangs all the time.

be sure its a 3.8, look and se its kinda important, in 95 the came with a 3.4, like mine, besides some of them in Cali. but there is a large hp differnce.

About another 80hp if your car is stock. If you have mods, even more. 3.8s had 200 hp compared to 275 hp LT1s (in 95). I dont know much about modding V6s...but

Ported heads (do V6 guys do that?), bigger cam, intake, headers, exhaust. Might put him there? I'm not experienced on V6 modding

- or -

supercharging his car would put him in your territory is my guess.
