How long did your power window motors last?

75,xxx miles and the left motor went out. I was warming the car up this morning to head off to work, and I lowered the windows to clear that condensation/due off the window. But when I went to roll it up it stuck. I tried again . I knew it would be raining today, and couldn't imagine sitting in the parking lot all day with the window half way down .

It didn't die slowly or give any indication that it was on the brink, it just STOPPED.
I waited a few minutes, tried again and it went up a few inches.

Few minutes later, up a few more inches. And so on until it went up. But I'm thinking it might be time for a new motor.

(as long as it isn't an electrical problem, which I doubt)

4 of the 5 of my families GM cars have had power window problems. The car that hasn't had power window problems is my moms car and she never rolls down the windows.

I was mainly worried about it sitting inthe parking lot all day with the window down, I thought that windows slowed down before dying...Like I said, thankfully I was able to get it back up within ten minutes.

I haven't had my camaro for more than a month, and the right motor is going out. It has 63,000 miles.

yeah the big windows dont help so i usually help the windows by hand at times

it may be your switch since since there was no warning try that first

I finally had my drivers window die. Instead of worrying about the new motor I just ripped it out and put a hand crank on it. I'll never have to worry about it again. I am just waiting for the passengers side to do it since I bought an extra crank so they would match.
