Is this worth it

Hi, Most of you guys probably know im a pround new owner of a 98 V6 camaro. But what this thread is about is that i just got the car last weekend and before i bought the car the car was setting in the dealers lot for about 3 months or so. I already changed the air filter on it(very dirty and i mean very dirty) so i was thinking that i should/want to do a full matience service (exp: change all the fluids and filters, maybe the timing belt, just the whole nine yards) but you see it only has 75,xxx miles and wasnt sure is it worth it but you know what they say the more you take care of your car the longer it will last so i just wanted your guys opinions. BTW how long before you should change spark plugs and the wires. Also what else do you think i should get done or checked on the car since it has been setting in the lot for 3 months let me know. Thanks in advance and any help is greatly apperciated. Also i will get all this done when i take it in to get the oil changed(77,xxx). Sorry for such a long post.

The owners manual says at 75k you should inspect the air filter (which you have doen already) and if driving in heavy traffic change tranny fluid. So I would just change the tranny fluid or all fluids if you want a peace of mind, plus they usually have some sort of deal if you get all the fluids changed. I wouldn't worry about the timing belt and the owners manual says to inspect/change spark plugs at 100k.

Have them take a look at that idle problem if its still happening.

Plugs and wires isn't too bad of an idea to jsut do, and know you have new stuff on your car.

I would also do the fluids like you said, mainly tranny and differential.

I would do the coolant system and change the thermostat jsut to be safe.

THat is if you have the money, I would do some of the stuff yourself will help you save money. Especially the coolant change, and thermostat can be done for like $10 if you do it yourself and is really not that hard. I woudl say its easier then an oil change.

It's called routine maintenance.

Of course it is worth it...if you want your car to last, that is.

100k on spark plugs =
