Horsepower?

How much HP gains would I get from these mods?
"I know you cant give me exact but just approximate"

Whisper Air Induction Lid With K&N filter -

SLP Ram Air or Fast Toyys Ram Air -
Also which one is better?

Hypertech 160 Degree Thermostat -

Magnaflow Cat-Back Exhaust System -

Also I dont know much about performance yet im just now getting into that I was basicly working on the looks and all I have now is Flowmaster Exhaust. So anything else you think I should get or need to get that extra speed please let me know what it is about how much it costs and what kind of gains I would get.
Thanks for your help in advance!

~15-20hp

Both ram air kits should be about equivalent.

15-20 for all these mods or you mean just for the ram air kits?

All of them put together. It is harder to gain REAL horsepower then you think.....

No way 15-20...that is way too generous for just an exhaust and a K&N filter...

I would say 10 HP and that won't be to the wheels either...

300 HP to the wheels? You'll need a supercharger and some juice for that...

15 horsepower is not to generous for and intake and exhaust. with a full catback system, ram air intake and a k&n you can easily get 15-20 at the wheels. There are dyno sheets showing a B&b catback exhaust putting down an average of 11 horsepower by itself, at the wheels. It is defeinatley possible. Also catbacks generaly give you more high end power(my favorite)

I'm a little skeptical of B&B's claim of 11 HP to the wheels just but suppose I believe it...that is the B&B system and there is quite a difference between the B&B and the Magnaflow.

I never said catbacks didn't give higher-end power...and I still think 15 HP to the wheels with a filter, ram air and exhaust is a little high. 15 at the engine sure....15 at the wheels, no. Closer to 10 at the wheels...

300hp is a lot for a 3.8L Camaro. The cheapest solution for that problem is to buy a V8, or better yet buy a V8 car. If you have lots of money, you can buy a head/cam package, full exhaust and a few other things and be making +250, but 300 is a high number to shoot for naturally aspirated.

Nitrous may be your solution.

Try not too look at mods in the amount of horsepower it gives you. I dont care if you do something that gives you 20 horsepower. If it doesnt lower your 1/4 time then its not worth it. Look at things in the amount it can take of your 1/8 or 1/4 e.t.
For me, with a whipser lid and cai, it could have only given me 10 horsepower but, it got me down the 1/4 .4 seconds quicker than before.

The Pontiac Grand Prix GTP which has the same engine as you, gets an extra 40hp from the SC. But you can buy a different pulley to get as much as 70hp. If you had 270hp you'd be beating more GTs then you could count.

or you can be one of the beta testers for the ati kit and put out well over 300, and fyi dont listen to most of the v8 guys their cars are godly and no v6 will evr beat them, with all botons and supersix powerpack ad pcm tuning 300 hp is achievable.

300 from the RKSport kit. Easy.

A complete Air intake and a complete exhaust you will see about 20hp to the wheels. That figures to about 230 to 235 at the crank...from 200.

Should be putting about 190HP to the wheels total. With about 245 Ft-lbs of torque.

With Super Six Motorsports stage II kit (not out yet) and a Supercharger, (or turbocharger) You could realize a potential of between 325 and 390 (on paper) but the latter will require you to rebuild the block and forge the bottom end.

As for nitrous I wouldn't push more than a 75 shot if you want to keep you engine happy.
