You can also relocate it with a longer wire to a colder air source, (Air Temperature sensor) to advance the timing. Like mentioned above its not worth it and most likely you gain Zero hp from it.

The only thing worse is that SLP sells a kit for this, and pretends it actually does something.

A better mod would be a fan switch, you can get one in for under 10 bucks.

For you car you need wire, 16 gauge is what i used, and a switch. Single pull single throw. (SPST) All you need to do is to run a wire from the green (ground) on the fan, or even easier from the fuse panel under the hood, to one side of the switch, and run the other side of the switch to a ground. This is For OBD I cars. Also the key will need to be in the acc position to turn the fan on. OBD II cars require a few extra steps, like resistors. I mounted my switch next to the trunk relaese on the lower dash. If you do this, you will need to take notice to what is behind where you want to put the switch before drilling. Cost me about 2.99 for the switch i had the wire. The whole thing costs under ten bucks to do and took me about 20 minutes to install.
