Help me with my 3800 series v6 engine!

ok when i drive, if i push down the gas pedal any more than a lttle than half of a quarter way down, i hear this like, grinding and the car gets all shaky and i can feel the grinding too. but when i dont use the gas much, and just push it a little, it works just fine. it tells me SES, but when i push it only a little, it goes away after a while. then itll come back if i try to push it down more again.

wtf? is it the transmission?

what year is the car, since its a 3.8 I'm pretty sure its a 96 or newer so that means obd-2. Take is to autozone and get it scanned and see what codes are stored in the computer.

did they say that or is that what you read from the scanner? If it is a missfire just do a simple tune up. Plugs and wires and see if that helps any.
