Unhappy Help Diagnosing Car Troubles Please!

Hey there guys, I called my mechanic and he didn't have much to say about it so here it goes.

I pull my car out of the garage today to vacume out the interior and I turn it off. Then I decide to turn in back on, but it won't start. It was a matter of seconds between turning it on, backing out, shutting off, then turning key again. All the engine does is crank and crank and crank. It acts as if it is out of gas, but it's not. I can hear the fuel pump sending fuel to the engine as well, so I know it's not that. I also checked the fueses to make sure none of them were blown. The only other thing my mechanic could come up with over the phone was the crank case sensor. I don't know if that's it or not, but I thought I would see what you all had to say. Let me know what you think it could be. I am desperate to drive it in this awesomely gourgeous weather! Thanks as always, John.

Have you tried to flash any trouble codes with the SES? I think you should be able to do that on your car. The 12 pin DLC should be the same as in this diagram. I'm not as familiar with the V6s, but thought I would offer a suggestion.

If you got spark then there is no fuel. It still could be the fuel pump. Open your fuel cap, unhook the filter, minimal fuel will spill. Then turn the ignition on again and see if fuel starts coming out of the fuel line. This should tell you if it's pumping fuel at least.

For an engine to run you need spark, fuel, air, and compression. Try spark.
