hello...first post
hello...first post
well......im a proud new owner of a 1996 camaro V6, bought it yesterday it has 93k miles on it, i was hoping to get some info on mods and **** like that and problems that i should be weary of around ths mileage.
what is a good exhaust system i could hook up
i dont want to be too trouble-some but prices would be great or a web address even better.
i dont want to put any money into the engine, i plan on swapping in a 350 in about a year.
thanks

Which 350?
Either way (and I'm not expert, but just from what i've been reading) you'll want a catback with either 2 3/4 inch piping to a 3 inch piping. I wouldn't go any smaller for a V8 (for 2 3/4 inch you might have to get that off of a stock z28)
Here some for the LT1 from Tbyrne. http://tbyrne.com/lt1catalog.html http://tbyrne.com/lt1/lt1exhaust.html
LS1 http://tbyrne.com/ls1/ls1exhaust.html
is one website to start. Mainly do a search and ask over in the V8 section as well. I still have glasspacks on my blazer and one day plan on either going with side pipes or true dual flowmasters, but not anytime soon. WIth the Camaro I'm going with either B&B-or Edelbrock catback in late FEB.
That's just a start, there is much more info out there.
Oh, btw, welcome.

Whats up, Holmes?
Welcome to the board!
Around the mileage and with the age of the car, most stock parts will start to fail, if they haven't already.
The water pump, EGR valve, stock suspension parts, and alternator...if any of those parts are still stock, expect them to crap out pretty soon. Hopefully you got the car after these parts were already replaced.
Depending on the maint. of the car, you might want to look into a full tune-up along with the fluids (tranny, coolant, rear and of course oil) of the car.
There is a TON of exhaust options available to you, do a search and you'll get hit with enough to read up on for days. Best advice I can give you is to hear them first hand since everyone swears by there own exhaust.
Good luck!

holmes, where ya from? around here we have a lot of "holmes" if you know what i mean.
and about the exhaust, if you are going to do a swap, i would just wait till then cause a 6 will never sound as good as you want it to.
