Question Heater problem

I get air blowin out of the floor vent and by the windshield...but nothing out of the dash vents. Before when I would turn the selector **** I would hear vacuum changing in my dash and the air flow would change. Now I get no air from my vents. This happened the same time my ac died......any ideas?

I had a problem like this about a year ago. Turned out to be a vacuum leak in the A/C system. If you take it to a shop, they should be able to locate it for you.

I had the same problem. The best place to start checking is the a/c check valve located on the passenger side of the engine compartment near the firewall. It is a black valve and has three vacumn lines going into it. It is a 4 dollar part. When the valve looses pressure the car returns the air flow to its pre set position of defrost and floor vents. If this is the problem you could swop the valve and save a good chunk of money.
